Privacy

What data we store

We store only what the game needs: user IDs, server IDs, inventory counts, quest progress, and settings.

• Identity: Discord user ID and username (for display).
• Progress: catches, battlepass level, achievements, Drug Den progress.
• Economy: animal counts, value, rain minutes, casino stats.
• Safety logs: catch and vote logs used for balance checks.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never store card numbers or payment passwords.

Store purchases are logged only to grant rewards and handle refunds or disputes.

Gameplay logs

We log gameplay events (like catches and votes) to keep balance fair and prevent abuse.

These logs are used to resolve support requests and to validate achievements.

• Catches: time to catch, channel, and animal.
• Votes: vote time, streak data, and reward application.
• Trades: basic trade metadata to resolve disputes.

Who can access data

Only the Zoo team and automated services can access production data. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Admin dashboards are locked behind Discord login and whitelisted admin IDs.

What we log (plain English)

• Gameplay: catch time, animal type, and channel ID.
• Progress: XP totals, quest completion, and level milestones.
• Support: enough metadata to fix bugs and verify rewards.

Retention

We keep core progression data so your game history stays intact. Logs may be pruned as the database grows.

• Gameplay logs are kept long enough for support and balancing.
• Payment logs are retained for accounting and disputes.
• Old log data can be anonymized or trimmed over time.

Data portability

If you need a copy of your data, contact the team and we will provide a summary export when possible.

Leaving a server

If the bot leaves a server, your data in that server remains unless a deletion request is submitted.

This is to protect players who rejoin later or who want their progress preserved.

Data removal

If you want your data removed, you can submit a request here: Request data deletion.

We process requests manually to protect against accidental loss.

• Deletion removes inventory, progress, and logs tied to your account.
• Store receipts may be retained without linking to your profile.
• We may ask for confirmation before final deletion.

Security and access controls

• Production databases are access‑restricted to the Zoo team.
• Admin pages require Discord login and an allowlist.
• Audit logs track sensitive actions like grants and wipes.

We regularly review permissions to keep access limited.

Cookies and sessions

The store and wiki use a session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie only stores a session ID, not personal info.

We do not use marketing or tracking cookies.
