Prisms

Boosts, master forge perks, and the limits behind the glow.

What is a prism?

Prisms are server-bound boosts that can bump an animal’s rarity up by one step. They belong to the server you earned them in and can be traded like animals.

You’ll see prism effects directly in catch messages when a boost lands.

Short version: More prisms = better odds. Your prisms help you and your entire server.

Default prism names

Prisms are auto-named using the NATO alphabet: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie… through Zulu, with suffixes Two to Twenty.

Server limit

There are 520 unique prism names per server. Once they're used, no more can be crafted in that server.

Master prisms

Forged at Drug Den level 11. Master prisms are custom named, custom colored, and count as 22 prisms for the server boost and 44 prisms for the owner’s personal boost.

How boosts scale

Boosts grow steadily, but each extra prism adds a slightly smaller bump than the last.

Global boost: everyone benefits from the server’s total prism count.

Personal boost: your own prism count adds an extra layer on top.

Example: if a server has 25 prisms and you personally own 6, you’ll feel the global lift plus a personal nudge. Adding more still helps, just in smaller steps.

Where to see your prisms

Open /inventory to see your prism list and the server’s total prism count.

Master prism advantage

Master prisms don't just look legendary — they count as 22 prisms toward the server boost and 44 toward the owner’s personal boost. That means the owner feels a noticeably bigger lift without breaking the server balance.

Master prisms are server-specific. If you switch servers, you won’t see them there.

How prism boosts show up

  • When a prism activates, the catch message adds a line showing the boost.
  • Boosted catches can jump to a rarer animal tier.
  • If the animal is already max rarity, the boost turns into a rain extension instead.

Rain extension

If a prism tries to boost a max-rarity animal, it can't go higher. Instead, it triggers a rain extension: an extra 2 minutes of Zoo Rain added to the channel.

Where prisms come from

  • Pack drops, battlepass rewards, and seasonal events.
  • Drug Den storyline rewards.
  • Trading with other players who already own prisms.

How to name and color a Master Prism

When you forge a Master Prism, you pick a custom name and a color. Colors accept basic color names (like red, blue) or hex values if you want something specific.

The name appears everywhere: inventory, catch messages, and leaderboard badges.

Trading prisms

Prisms are tradable like animals. If you trade a prism away, your personal boost drops, but the server’s total stays the same unless the prism leaves the server.

Master prisms are also tradable, but most players keep them as their signature flex.

How boosts interact with catches

  • Boosted catch: the animal bumps one rarity tier higher.
  • Stacked perks: prisms can stack with rain, blessings, and Drug Den perks.
  • Multiple lines: if multiple perks land on one catch, the bot shows several effect lines.
Example: A boosted catch during rain might show: “Prism boosted!” + “Drugs doubled!” in the same message.

Reading your prism stats

  • Total prisms: server‑wide count. This drives the global boost.
  • Your prisms: personal count. This adds on top of the global boost.
  • Master prisms: counted separately, but multiplied in the boost math.

If your server has a lot of prisms, your global boost rises; your personal prisms then add a second layer on top.

Common questions

Do prisms expire?

No. Once a prism exists in a server, it stays until traded or removed by nuke.

Can I have more than one Master Prism?

No. Each player can forge one Master Prism per server.

Can boosts fail?

Boosts always “apply” — if the animal is max rarity, it turns into a rain extension.

Do prisms affect pack drops?

No. Prisms only affect catch rarity, not pack upgrade chances.

Prism limits, in plain terms

Every server has a fixed list of prism names. Once the list runs out, new prisms stop appearing in that server.

This keeps servers from inflating boost power forever, and makes prisms feel like a true resource.

  • 520 names total per server.
  • Master prisms do not consume extra names.
  • Trading a prism away does not create a new one — it only moves it.

Boosts without formulas

Boost power grows quickly early on, then slows as the server fills up. This keeps new prisms exciting without breaking balance.

  • Going from 0 to 10 prisms is a noticeable jump.
  • Going from 300 to 310 prisms still helps, but by a smaller amount.
  • Master prisms are the big leap — they are the rare spike that still feels dramatic.
