Black Market overview

The Black Market is a global listing board where players post items for instant trades. Listings are visible across every server, but purchases always pull from your current server inventory.

Think of it like a cross‑server bazaar with local backpacks: you can browse from anywhere, yet all trades still happen using the animals, packs, and rain minutes tied to the server you are in.

There are two listing types: player listings (made by users) and seeded listings (stocked by the Syndicate). Seeded listings are always available and rotate constantly so the market never feels empty.

Every listing is instant. There are no auctions, no bidding wars, and no holds. If you have the required items, you can buy immediately.

To keep the economy healthy, listing fees and seeded stock prices are tuned so time‑saving stays valuable without becoming pay‑to‑win.

Listing items

When you list an item, it moves into escrow immediately. This keeps listings honest and prevents duplicates or fake offers.

You choose exactly what you want in return. That can be animals, packs, rain minutes, or a mix of them.

Listings expire after a set time. If an item expires or you cancel the listing, the escrowed item returns to your inventory. The listing fee is never refunded.

Listing fees are paid separately, using any low‑value animals you choose. This means you never have to “tax” the rare item you are listing.

Only the seller can cancel a listing, and you cannot buy your own listing. This prevents self‑trading abuse.

Buying items

Buying a player listing is simple: if you have the requested items in your current server inventory, the purchase completes instantly.

Buying a seeded listing is flexible: seeded stock accepts any mix of items that meets the required market value (MV). This lets you pay with what you have on hand.

All purchases happen in one atomic transaction. Items are either fully exchanged or not exchanged at all.

After a purchase, the seller receives the items in the server where they listed, and the buyer receives the item in the server where they bought.

Black Market DMs can be toggled on or off from the market menu, so sellers can control notifications.

Seeded stock rotation

The Syndicate seeds the market with rotating stock so there is always something to browse. Seeded items expire and are replaced automatically.

Rotation uses rarity balancing and repeat‑avoidance, which keeps the stock fresh and avoids the same item appearing too often.

Seeded prices are based on market value with a small markup. This makes them a time‑saving option rather than a profit exploit.

Because seeded listings accept any mix of items, you can purchase with common animals without needing exact currency matches.

Seeded stock is global, but the items you pay still come from your current server inventory.

Safety, value, and fairness

Market value (MV) uses a diminishing‑returns curve so huge stacks of common animals never outweigh rare species.

This keeps trading fair: a thousand zebras cannot outprice a dolphin, and rare listings remain meaningful.

Fees and seeded markups are designed as sinks, helping the economy stay balanced as the player base grows.

If you ever see a listing that looks suspicious, ignore it — you are never forced to buy, and you control every trade you make.

The Black Market is meant to be fun, fast, and fair: a way to get what you want without waiting on perfect trades.
