Trading basics
Trades are two-sided offers. Both players add items, then both must accept. Nothing moves until both sides confirm.
Trades are server-bound: you can only trade items from the server youβre in.
Step-by-step
- Run /trade with a user in the same server.
- Add items to your side (animals, packs, or rain minutes).
- Check the preview and confirm.
- The other player confirms. Trade completes instantly.
Tip: If either side changes items, both players must confirm again.
What can be traded
Animals, packs, and Zoo Rain minutes are valid trade items.
Trade safety
Trades are locked to the two users. No one else can accept or modify it.
Timeouts
Trades expire if inactive. If that happens, simply start a new trade.
Gifting
Use /gift for one-way transfers. Gifts are instant and cannot be undone.
Value, fairness, and profit
Value is a guide β not a rule. The bot displays totals to help you compare, but you decide what feels fair.
- Equal trades are balanced value on both sides.
- Profit trades are when you receive more value than you send.
- Collection trades are often uneven because rarity matters more than value.
Gifts and tax
Gifts are one-way and instant. Occasionally the bot may prompt a small gift tax for large transfers.
- Paying the tax keeps the transfer smooth.
- Dodging the tax might trigger special achievements.
Example trade
Example: You trade 3 Giraffes and 1 Silver pack for a single Dolphin. The value looks uneven, but the rarity makes it worth it.
Tips for smooth trades
- Always check the preview before clicking accept.
- Value is a guide, not a rule. Trade for what you want.
- If you cannot trade an item, you may not own enough of it.
- Use /inventory to double-check counts before negotiating.
Trade lifecycle (behind the scenes)
- Both offers are locked at confirm time.
- If either side edits the offer, confirmations reset.
- When both confirm, the swap happens in one transaction.
- If a trade expires, no items move.
Safety note:
Trades always complete or fail as a whole. You wonβt lose items to partial trades.
Achievements tied to trading
- Equal value trades can unlock balanceβthemed achievements.
- Profitable trades can unlock profit achievements.
- Trading packs or rain minutes can unlock social milestones.
Trade etiquette
- Say what you want up front (rare, value, or specific animals).
- Do not spam trade requests β ask first.
- Confirm only when both sides agree on the final list.
Self trades
Self trades are allowed for testing and certain achievements. They only move items between your own slots.
Use them carefully β they still follow the same confirm rules.
